在WWDC(Worldwide Developers Conference) 2009 大會上，Apple 率先宣佈推出全新的MacBook Pro系列機種，由13/15/17吋均一應供全，全新的纖巧簡約設計加上更強的硬件規格，絕對令人愛不釋手!

全新設計的 MacBook Pro採用了CNC電腦切割的一體化鋁合金鍵盤及手枕主體，提供極高的耐用性及防刮保護能力，此外由電腦切割的金屬線條亦相當圓滑，令機身看來更見簡約。另一方面，無鍵設計的TouchPad成功令觸控區增加 39%，讓用戶可以輕鬆以手指劃出各種MultiTouch功能。而13.3吋玻璃無縫屏幕則以省電的LED背光技術掛帥，加上如無水銀組件及環保包裝，繼續獲得最高級別的EPEAT GOLD獎項。

規格方面，新款的MacBook Pro提供了更高時脈、內置3MB L2 Cache的Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz 及2.4GHz 處理器選擇，2GB DDR3記憶體、硬碟則由160GB HDD至256GB SSD，彈性可算相當高。不過新機繼續整合NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB DDR3顯示卡，效能未見大幅增長，不過能夠連續使用5 小時，吸引力已經提升不少。

另一方面，新款的 15吋MacBook Pro規格雖和13″ MacBook 接近，不過其電池壽命可長達 7 小時，加上可重複充電1,000次，比上一代MacBook高出一倍以上。此外，它更新了SD 讀卡器,15.4吋1440 x900高解像LED屏幕能夠提供 60% 色域增長，提供更完善的連接力。
