微軟（Microsoft）創辦人比爾蓋茨（Bill Gates）作為知名的科技界巨人以及慈善家，不時都有新聞報道其生活。不過近日比爾蓋茨在 Twitter 發表聲明公開宣佈與結婚 27 年的 Melinda Gates（米蘭達蓋茨）離婚。而聲明中直指「不認為在未來的人生階段，於夫妻關係裡還能一同成長」。
日前微軟（Microsoft）創辦人比爾蓋茨（Bill Gates）以及其妻子 Melinda Gates（米蘭達蓋茨）分別在 Twitter 上發表聲明公開宣佈離婚。聲明中指兩人經過「深思熟慮」，決定結束 27 年婚姻，直指「不認為在未來的人生階段，於夫妻關係裡還能一同成長」。不過聲明中亦有提到兩人將會繼續在工作上「共同推動願景」，並冀各界給予隱私跟空間。
兩人共同創建比爾和米蘭達蓋茨基金會（Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation），致力於全球兒童傳染病及疫苗預防等公益工作。而比爾蓋茨是全球第 4 大富豪，其擁有之財產高達 $1240 億美元，約相當於港幣 $9630 億元，不過是次公開發佈的聲明並未有提及離婚後將如何分配財產。
