有一個擁有近 70,000 名追蹤者的 Twitter 賬戶「KnowNothing」笑言，因為Elon Musk解雇了可以向他解釋的員工，所以用了一個中學生的實驗想法來弄清楚公司的演算法是如何運作的。
早在去年 11 月，Twitter在大規模裁員和不斷變化的工作福利導致許多工程師退出 Twitter，Elon Musk 隨後始招聘新工程師，導致平台穩定性下降並引發故障。
過去一個月，許多 Twitter 用戶注意到其帳戶出現許多隨機推文填滿了他們的「For You feed」，而這些推文來自他們沒有關注或從未互動過的賬戶。
任何 Twitter 用戶都可以將本來預設為公開賬戶改為私人賬戶，受保護的帳戶只能由已經關注該帳戶的帳戶查看，新的關注者由帳戶持有人手動驗證。用戶可入前「設置」，然後點擊「私隱和安全」中的「受眾和標記」，並選擇「保護你的推文」便可更改此設置。
