上星期 Microsoft BUILD 2014 大會，除了展示 Windows 8.1、Windows Phone 8.1 等新產品外，還展示了 Windows in the Car 概念系統。讓車主可以預覽一下 Microsoft 挑戰 Apple CarPlay 和 Google Andoird Open Automotive Alliance 的秘密武器。
Windows in the Car 系統會以 MirrorLink 作為核心，配合類似 Windows Phone 8.1 的方格形觸控式操作介面。系統整合了汽車的原廠功能外，亦讓車主安裝不同的 Apps，Microsoft 將會推出 AppStore，提供適合汽車使用的程式。另外，在 BUILD 2014 發表的語音助理 Cortana 亦會出現在 Windows in the Car 系統，提供商店資訊和智能導航等功能。Windows in the Car 暫時仍屬概念開發階段，Microsoft 未有公開推出的時間表。
