Google 對遊戲平台 Stadia 相當有野心，除了在加拿大蒙特利爾成立 Stadia Games and Entertainment 工作室開發自家遊戲作品，還開始展開收購。日前 Google 就宣佈收購獨立遊戲開發商 Typhoon Studios，未來他們開發的遊戲將會獨家在 Stadia 平台提供。
然而 Typhoon Studios 現時開發中的遊戲《Journey to the Savage Planet》將會繼續，亦會照原定安排在明年 1 月 28 日在多個平台推出。Typhoon Studios 由資深遊戲開發者 Reid Schneider 和 Alex Hutchinson 於 2017 年創立，兩人曾經參與或負責的遊戲包括《Splinter Cell》、《Batman: Arkham Knight》、《The Sims 2》、《Spore》、《Assassin’s Creed III》和《Far Cry 4》等。
Stadia Games and Entertainment 的負責人 Jade Raymond 表示，非常欣賞 Typhoon Studios 能夠以只有 26 人的小型團隊，在少於 3 年來完成創業作《Journey to the Savage Planet》。Google 未有公開收購的金額和細節，外界相信今次收購的金額不會太高。
