生成式人工智能風潮蔚然成風，不過在香港大部份 AI 都需要經 VPN 才能用到。今天小編要和大家分享的 GPT4All 就不用 VPN，甚至更可以直接不連網就開始使用。GPT4All 支援 Windows、Mac 及 Ubuntu，除此之外更提供多個 AI 模型。如果你有 OpenAI Key 的話更可直接使用 GPT-3.5 及 GPT-4 。

GPT4All 介面與大家熟悉的 ChatGPT 相似，使用方法都是和 AI 以聊天的方式發問，而且能夠在電腦本機儲存聊天紀錄。點擊上面的連結後，就會看到 Windows、 Mac 及 Ubuntu 的下載點。小編會以 Windows 作安裝示範。
先點擊連結進入 GPT4All 網站，下載 GPT4All。小編使用的是 Windows OS，所以接下來會用 Windows 作示範。

初次開啟 GPT4All 時，GPT4All 會問你要不要分享數據改善 GPT4All，大家可按個人意願在右下角選擇 Yes 或 No。選擇後就可揀選安裝哪一個 AI 模型。

▲如果你有 OpenAI API Key 的話，也可安裝 GPT-4（綠色框示）
點擊左上角的按鍵開始使用你剛剛下載的 AI 模型。
這個語言模型支援中文，但你要另外提示它才可以用繁體回應。
為測試這個 AI 的文字生成能力，小編設定了一個場景，就是明天我最好的朋友要結婚了，打算叫 AI 替我寫一封請假信。小編覺得這個 AI 的文字生成能力普通，看起來像是先生成英文，再「夾硬」翻譯成中文。

小編嘗試叫這個 AI 翻譯一篇來自《Through the Looking Glass》的選段，發覺其翻譯能力普通。
The sun was shining on the sea,

不知道是不是小編安裝的 AI 較弱，中文處理能力看起來較為一般，而且回應速度相對 ChatGPT 來說非常慢。不過 GPT4All 優勝之處是無須 VPN 就可以立即使用，而且部分 AI 模型不用連接網絡，聊勝於無。
