現時 Google 一眾親生仔均可用上最新的 Android 系統 (版本為 4.2.1)，近日有消息指出 Google 將於本月底率先為一眾 Nexus 親生仔機提供 Android 4.2.2 更新，而代號「Key Lime Pie」的下代 Android 系統，最快於將於 3 月才推出 (不然好可能在 5 月的 Google I/O 推出)。
暫時所知 Android 4.2.2 只是系統上的小更新，主要針對已知問題作出修正，包括 Nexus 7 藍牙的連接問題，除了 Google 親生仔機 (包括 Nexus 4、Nexus 7、Nexus 10 及 Galaxy Nexus) 可率先獲得更新外，有消息指出部份在馬來西亞和巴西發售的 Nexus 4 出貨時已用上Android 4.2.2 系統。
