Google 在推動 AR 技術一直不遺餘力，而且做到由淺入深，在 Google Search 內加入 AR 動物搜尋結果，讓一般網民甚至小孩子都能體驗 AR 功能。今年 Google 在復活節和萬聖節，都曾經推出配合節日主題的 AR 動物，例如復活兔和恐龍等；今年聖誕節因為疫情而留家時間多了，Google Search 亦推出更多 AR 動物為小孩子解悶。

Google 日前在 Twitter 宣佈，有 50 款全新的 AR 動物會加入 Google Search，網民只要利用 Google 手機程式搜尋動物的名稱，然後在搜尋結果點選「View in 3D」，就可以見到栩栩如生的動物出現在螢幕內，以 AR 方式於用戶身處的空間內現身。Google 為了保持神秘感，未有詳細列明 50 款新增的動物清單。
在 Google 的介紹文宣和影片中，提及到河馬、長頸鹿、乳牛、貓、斑馬、豬和鬆獅犬等，網站 9to5google 還發現小獵犬、邊境牧羊犬、倉鼠、黃牛、小熊貓和威爾斯哥基犬等。
