根據路透社的報道，Apple 計劃 9 月連同 iOS 18 和 iPadOS 18 一同發佈的 Apple Intelligence 將要延遲推出，改為在 iOS 18 和 iPadOS 18 推出幾星期後的 iOS 18.1 和 iPadOS 18.1 才推出。但這兩個版本的測試版據報最快在本星期推出，意味著期等已久的 Apple Intelligence 很快便可以試玩。

消息人士指 Apple 將會在 10 月的軟件更新才會推出 Apple Intelligence，並於本周開始透過 iOS 18.1 和 iPadOS 18.1 的 Beta 版向軟件開發人員提供 Apple Intelligence 進行早期測試，代表著 iOS 18 和 iPadOS 18 暫時都未會有 Apple Intelligence 的功能，用戶將需要等到 10 月推出 iOS 18.1 和 iPadOS 18.1 後才可以正式使用 Apple Intelligence。Apple 尚未有對相關的報道作出回應，但延期推出的決定相信是為了有更多時間修復錯誤。Apple 在 6 月底已經推遲了三項新的人工智能功能，來符合歐盟要求 Apple 確保其競爭對手的產品和服務能夠在 Apple 的裝置上運行的規則。
