人氣遊戲大作《Fortnite》將會登陸 Android 平台，但官方已宣佈並不會在 Google Play 上架，用家需要直接從 Epic 官方網站下載。外媒 9to5Google 發現，最近 Google 罕有在 Google Play 上貼出告示，表示《Fortnite Battle Royale》沒有在 Play Store上架，防止用戶錯誤下載盜版程式。
Epic Games 指不讓《Fortnite Battle Royale》在 Play Store 上架的其中一個原因是不想把其中三成的利潤與 Google 分享。現時，用戶在 Play Store 上搜尋「Fortnite」，頁面頂端會顯示 Google 的提示指「Epic Games, Inc 開發的《Fortnite Battle Royal》未在 Google Play 推出。」
有人認為，Google 此舉是為了防止用戶下載惡意的遊戲盜版。
事實上，Android 的設定也不鼓勵用戶從「未知來源」下載 App，以確保 Play Store 是主要的 App 下載平台。

有用戶在 Twitter 發文指，在下載《Fortnite》時系統會彈出通知，提醒用戶這是「未知來源」。若用戶要繼續下載，需開啟接受從「未知來源」下載程式的設定。
《Fortnite Battle Royale》Android 版現時只兼容最近推出的設備。如 Galaxy Note 9，Tab S4﹑ S9 / S9 Plus ﹑Note 8﹑ Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus﹑Galaxy S7﹑ Galaxy S7 Edge 和 Tab S3 。據消息指，遊戲在月尾將開放給所有 Android 機。
