外國傳媒報導，近日 Apple 向美國專利權辦公加入新的專利公告，似乎在為將 Thunderbolt 傳輸加入到 iPhone、iPod、iPad 等 iOS 產品作好準備。
今次新加入的內容，Apple 加入了「The present invention, connection may also be a new type of connection. … a connection may be provided between a portable media player and a display, a computer and a portable media player, or between other types of devices.」內容，這意味著 Apple 將有意繼 MacBook Pro 後，為更多旗下產品加入 Thunderbolt 傳輸功能。
