Apple 早前計劃於明年 2 月起恢復實體工作安排，但近日卻指基於 Omicron 變種新冠病毒在多國肆虐，宣布無限期延後回辦公室工作，所有員工則維持現況在家工作。Apple 行政總裁 Tim Cook 表示現時仍未有恢復實體工作的計劃，並會向每位員工派發 $1000 美元，以資助購買在家工作的設備。
Tim Cook 於今年 6 月時指雖則視頻會議有助工作間的交流，但不能完全取替實體工作。為對抗疫情，早前 Apple 亦恢復了美國 Apple 實體零售店入店時，顧客需佩戴口罩的要求。
