歐盟即將就 Apple 終止 Epic Games 開發者帳戶一事展開調查，評估 Apple 是否有違反數位市場法案（DMA），並要求 Apple 就事件提供解釋。根據現時的數位市場法案（DMA），歐盟可向違反法案的企業收取 10% 年營利作罰款，而再次違規則可收取 20%。較早前 Apple 因與 Spotify 的紛爭被歐盟罰款 18 億歐元（約 153 億港元）。
早前，Epic Games 被 Apple 無故終止其開發者帳戶，並認為 Apple 無意在 iOS 裝置上允許真正的競爭。Epic Games 更強烈譴責 Apple 正在消滅 App Store 的潛在競爭對手。
