Autopilot 系統是 Tesla 的重點功能項目，讓車輛可以半自動行駛，惟司機需要保持警覺，在需要時隨時介入。最近一名 Tesla 車主 Jordan Nelson 就在 Twitter 上載影片，並點名 Tesla CEO Elon Musk，要求團隊檢視 Autopilot 出現的問題。
Nelson 表示 Autopilot 誤將天上的月亮當成交通燈黃燈，然後不斷嘗試慢駛。在影片中沒有見到速度計沒有轉變，於是有網民問他是否有感覺車輛正在減速，Nelson 回應指汽車的速度沒有減慢，但就感覺到每當經過「黃燈」時，系統就會出現稍稍猶疑。

暫時未見 Tesla 或 Elon Musk 就事件作出回應，未知 Autopilot 團隊會否稍後就將滿月當作交通燈進行研究和修正。
